A van insurance policy provides protection for a driver in the event of an accident which causes injury or damage to a third party. There are different types of policies that provide cover depending on what you use your van for this can be broken down into Van Insurance or Commercial Vehicle Insurance.
Determining whether your vehicle qualifies for van insurance may be down to the number of seats it has or if there have been any modifications made to the van. A commercial vehicle cannot be insured on a van policy if there are seats in the back of the van (with some exceptions) or if any modifications have been made.
Subject to risk acceptance criteria, policy terms and conditions apply at all times.
