Hastings Insurance 350km in a Day Challenge
On the 2nd of October 2024, team members from Hastings Insurance took part in our annual 350km in a day Challenge, in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. The aim of the event was for team members to cycle as many kilometres as they could, in order to reach a combined total distance of 350km over the course of the day. This was achieved on stationary exercise bikes outside our Head Office in Market Square in Castlebar, alongside stationary bikes in our Galway and Dublin offices. Team members from other offices also contributed to the total distance by walking, cycling and running, where they could.
We received massive support on the day itself and through our fundraising efforts on social media. In total €2,500 was raised across all locations. Not only did we exceed our original fundraising target, we also smashed the 350km distance target, completing a total of 569.53km over the course of the day.
All money raised went directly to the Irish Cancer Society, our chosen charity partner for the event. We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported and donated as part of this fundraising initiative. We could not have done it without you.
*The Irish Cancer Society is charity that helps support people affected by cancer through their advocacy, support services and research. They fund cancer research to find better treatments that will save more lives. They also work to keep cancer on the Government’s agenda, to make sure the Irish healthcare system functions as well as possible to help cancer patients and their loved ones through their diagnosis.
